The Guest Suite space is a small 3x5 meter space including the bathrooms that poses as a challenge to achieve a space that consists of maximum functions of a guest room offering more features as much as possible. The design aims to maximize the space without neglecting function and comfortable circulation. We achieved this by carefully designing each pieces of furniture to be built-in with carefully measured dimensions. The room features a queen sized bed with two bedside tables, an open style wardrobe equipped with storage space for luggage bags, shelf compartments for toiletries, shoes, and other uses, a single seater built-in couch with a side table for tea and reading, a wide dressing table that doubles as a pantry together with a mini fridge, as well as a study table with large ribbon window framed box shelf. The unique door for the bathroom acts as a divider that when open, it closes the space of the bedroom, creating an extended bathroom with a wardrobe connected to the bathroom, making it appear to have it's own walk-in wardrobe. We purposely designed the multipurpose wardrobe to be able to store toilet accessories like towels, toiletries and clothes so that when a guest opens the door, everything will be connected within arm's reach.
The single seater couch faces the the folding door that opens up to the garden, giving the illusion of space, designed for guests to be able to relax with coffee and reading while overlooking the view of the private garden space. With an equipped custom designed book shelf under the coffee table, guests are able to maximize storage with storing books and other reading materials of choice. The study table is designed to be a large enough size to fit a laptop and to be able to do any form of desk work without taking up too much space. With the use of lighting strategies, we are able to create an illusion of space as to drive the focus of the eye to see long horizontal LED lights that stretches from end to end. Every corner of the design of the interior is taken into consideration to create an illusion of space, as well as to manage the flow of circulation of the user.
