The two and a half storey French villa at Taman TAR is a distinctive family home embodying numerous elements of a French chateau. This timeless European abode boasts opulence and sophistication, integrating grand arched windows, a prominent entrance, private balconies, and a statement Mansard roof design. An arresting curved staircase takes centre stage, both physically and visually uniting all levels, offering glimpses through each floor and, notably, into the majestic ground floor foyer. Accentuated with delicate details and materials such as dormer windows, cornices, and keystones, the residence conveys depth and character, emphasizing its French architecture influence.
Aligned with the project directive, this villa is envisioned as a haven for the owner's 16-year-old daughter, capturing timelessness to create a multi-generational dwelling for the daughter's future. Adhering to the client's requests, the home encompasses a total of six bedrooms. The ground floor hosts the guest suite and maid's quarters, the first floor accommodates two bedrooms and master suite, while the second floor reveals another bedroom.
Upon entering the home, the grand foyer welcomes you with its statement staircase and cascading skylight. Prominent spaces on the ground floor include the grand living hall, intimate petit salon, and, most captivatingly, the observatory. Outdoor spaces on this level encompass a sheltered four-car carpark and an expansive lawn that doubles as an event venue.
Throughout the villa, notable family spaces are the first-floor outdoor deck, and the AV room, while the more private spaces are the library and study on the second floor. A balance of communal and private spaces gives the home a harmonious blend of family-centric areas and individual retreats.
