Project Location: Taman Setiawangsa, Setapak, Kuala Lumpur
Area: 1370m² / 14747ft²
Status: Proposal 2023
The Setiawangsa Villa project involves the renovation and upgrading of an existing medium-scale bungalow. The scope of works involves the redesigning of the building facade, interior works, layout reconfiguration, and an addition of an entire new level. This new floor extends to house a media room, surau, outdoor lounge space and living area. Interior renovation of existing areas involves the refurbishment of all spaces within the building, and reorienting the basement staircase to create a more private exit from the basement to ground floor level.
Exterior works, on the other hand, involve landscaping and hardscaping works which includes the provision of new car parks, driveways, and the introduction of a new outdoor swimming pool.
The design style selected for the façade upgrading plays homage to Mediterranean influence, creating a lasting impression from street level view. Throughout the house, the user enjoys unobstructed views of the beautiful landscape, designed in line with the Mediterranean concept. The rooftop deck further emphasizes the Mediterranean feel, creating a continuous design narrative throughout the house. Hints of glass and metal are incorporated to create a contemporary classic overall look.
