This proposed biotech research facility, located in Shenzen, China is designed as a pioneering hub for cancer research and medicine. Beyond its scientific core, it will foster strong collaborations with a nearby university, engage students in dedicated programs, and serve as a profound memorial and celebration for cancer survivors, offering hope and tracking their journeys. The center will be a vibrant space for public awareness and education, featuring exhibitions, an AR room, an auditorium, a café, unique amenities like underground kayaking and an outdoor fitness area, and a viewing deck with mountain views. Architecturally inspired by cells and microscopic structures, the design uses reflective aluminum panels to contrast with its natural setting, ultimately creating a dynamic central hub for biotech, leisure, entertainment, education, and tourism, a true space for inspiration and awareness.
